You can squeeze a 2,000mm tray on the 300mm chassis stretch which we offer, however to get the wheels under the center of the tray you need a bit more. 450mm is the perfect length to get the weight balance right if you want a 2,100mm tray or the slightly longer 2,250mm tray, it gives a much better departure angle as there is less rear overhang (when coming down a 4wd track) and still retains all the drive-ability of a standard ute.
This tradie combo has been tried and tested in many situations over many years by many happy customers and they all agree that it is the perfect balance.
